Casaragod Government Medical College witnessed his first acceptance of students on Monday, which meant a milestone in the health sector in the district.
Gurvinder Singh, a native of Alwar, Rajasthan, became the first MBBS student to ensure acceptance through a cellular quota. He welcomed him with sweets superintendent ps PE PUNEEN KUMAR. Of the seven All-India seats allocated to the institution has now been filled.
University authorities expect the remaining 50 seats of state quotas to be occupied by September 30. After completing the first dose, they said that a new chapter was written for the district, which has long been waiting for a government medical college.

The University Hospital is expected to operate inauguration doses before the beginning of the second year.
