Two cars were completely destroyed in a fire at Narayanpur village in Basavakalyan taluk of Bidar district on February 9.
The incident took place at a private kalyana mantap during an engagement ceremony. Two cars that were parked in front of the convention hall reportedly caught fire under mysterious circumstances and were reduced to ashes within minutes.
After receiving the information, HZS personnel rushed to the scene and tried to put out the flames. But before the fire could be brought under control, both vehicles were completely destroyed.
Both the cars belonged to residents of Shahapur taluk in Yadgir district.
The exact cause of the fire is not yet known. Basavakalyan city police visited the spot and registered a case.
