After a legal battle, which has been extended by 23 years, the government finally sanctioned service benefits to a group of forest officials who were suspended in connection with the case of mathematics penetration in 2002.
The order issued by the forest, according to Seetha S. Lakshmi, states that the government has withdrawn all charges against officials and their benefits related to services and pension will be assigned. It states that the additional main main forest conservator recommended the government to withdraw disciplinary measures against officials and restore the service during the suspension period.
“The government carried out a detailed check of the requests of officials and the recommendations of the forestry and decided to cancel all fees and restore the benefits related to the service,” says the order.

The case of the land in Mathikettan in the district of Idukki after a visit to the then leader of the opposition of Vs Achuthanandan in 2002 grabbed the subtitles.
After his visit, the government suspended six forest officials and seven income employees and accused them of providing support for penetration. In the same year, the case of vigilance was registered, which led to an extended legal battle.
In February 2024, he liberated all 13 officers in Muvattatuzha. Even a year after the judgment, the government did not publish or renewed the service benefits of forest officials. Now the government step came to them as a great relief, the officers say.
