The top eight teams in this ranking will advance to the round of 32, while the remaining four teams in third place will be sent home.

There are a few crucial matches left before the knockout picture becomes clear. Australia and Paraguay will face off in a virtual knockout clash, while the winners of Japan vs Sweden and Austria vs Algeria will advance to the next round.
