
Thrissur is preparing for hosting the 64 festival. More than 14,000 students from all over the state will compete for 249 events at 26 locations in Thrissur City and its surroundings.
“The government is preparing for the festival to turn into a milestone. With teamwork of 19 subcommitations, their chairman and conference, and the support of Thrissur people, we are sure that this festival will be a great success,” said Education Minister V. Sivankutty.
As part of the products, the state will use modern promotional tools, including video campaign. The festival will strictly follow the Green Protocol, which aims to create an example as an ecological celebration.
Accommodation for participants and officials will be organized in schools throughout the city and high quality food will be provided for all. Students providing a “class” will receive a cultural scholarship of CZK 1,000 from the government. Details of the Golden Cup procession will be announced soon, the minister added.
School Olympics
The Minister also announced that the school Olympic manual is revised, with plans to include Kalalaripayatt. “Once the manual is completed and approved as a government order, new competitions will be added to make the event even more inclusive,” Mr. Sivanku said.
Regarding the question of students without a unique ID (UID), the Minister explained: “This year, children without UID were not considered to fix employees.
The government set up a high -level committee led by the General Minister of Education to explore the birth certificates as an alternative to Aadhaar and simplify the fixation of employees in schools. “The committee was asked to present its report by October. Once we receive it, the recommendations will be listed in front of the main minister and changes will be made,” Mr. Sivankutty added.
