The former Indian cricket Kris Srikkanth took a light in Harshit Rana after a fast pitch in Delhi for ODI and T20i for the upcoming tour of Australia. It seems that Rana, who enjoyed consistent support from coach Gautam Gambira, has become a regular accessory alongside – something Sikkanth considered fun.
The winner of the 1983 World Cup, who spoke on his YouTube channel, joked that Harshit Rana was an apparently popular player of Gambhira and besides Captain Sharbman Gill is the first name in the team certificate. Rana, who debuted at the debut of ODI at the beginning of this year against England, remained in the group in the absence of Jasprit Bumhrah.
Bumrah, who recently played the Asia Cup and Western Indies Back-to-Back tests, was rested for ODI’s leg of the Australian tour.
“Harshit Rana is permanent because he is a favorite Gautam Gambhir. After SHUBMAN GILL he is always a certainty and first name in a team certificate,” Sikkanth joked after the team announcement.

SRIKKANTH responded to further selections and raised questions about the integration of Nitish Kumar Reddy into the ODI team. He claimed that Reddy was not the right versatile and would fight on Australian playgrounds.
“Where did Nitish Kumar Reddy come from? If you ask them, they say that the replacement of Hardika Pandya is.
“Reddy will be in Australia in ODIS in ODIS.
However, Nitish Kumar Reddy has some experience with the Australian conditions. He made his debut during the Indian campaign Trophy Trophy Trophy in India in 2024–25. Despite the bad team performance, Reddy’s individual performance earned praise from fans and experts.
