The President of the National Conference (NC) Farooq Abdullah, who is likely to attend an Indian National Development, Inclusive Alliance (India) meeting before the monsoon meeting of Parliament in Nový Dilli on Friday (July 18, 2025) on Friday (July 18, 2025).
“Statehood is our right, not kindness. Jamm and Kashmir have been deprived of their democratic and constitutional rights too long. The restoration of full statehood is essential for adherence to the dignity, identity and autonomy of the region,” Abdullah to journalists in Budgam.
Abdullah stated to strengthen democratic processes and responsibility that restoration of statehood is not only a political necessity, but a moral duty that must be fulfilled without delay.
He also appreciated the Congress step to write Narendra Modi and demand the immediate restoration of Jamm and Kashmir’s statehood.
“Congratulations (opposition leader, Rajya Sabha, Malikarjun) Kharge and (opposition leader, Lok Sabha) Rahul (Gandhi), who raised the problem with the Prime Minister,” Abdullah.
It is likely to be attended by a meeting of the Indian block scheduled for July 19. “This problem (statehood) will be raised here,” added the head of NC.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Minister and prominent tribal leader Javed Ahmed Rana also urged the center to restore statehood at the upcoming meeting of parliament.
“The Restoration of Stateohood is Long Overdeue, Particularly After the Completing of Delimitation and Elections. The Prime Ministry of the Home Ministry Government to Act Swiftly and Take Concrete Steps to Revive Jammu and Kashmir’s Lost Glory, ”Mr. Rana Said.
