Members of Karnataka Rajya Raith Sangha and Hasira Sen organized a protest in Mysuro and against Bastipura and Kadakola in Karnataka Power Transmission Limited.
The installation was scheduled for land belonging to more than 500 farmers, leading to extensive concern among the agricultural community. The protesters said there was potential health risks of high -voltage power plants.
“It will have an impact on our land, crops, health and livelihood. If KptCl continues with the plan, we will be forced to intensify our protest to protect agricultural land,” the protesting farmers said. They warned against a significant decrease in the soil value if the project moves forward.
They gathered in front of the office of the Commissioner, lifted the slogans and presented a memorandum. In their appeal, they urged the government to resign and claim that it was carried out without proper consultation.
