Farmers in the Yadgir district are waiting for good magic rain for their crops, especially green gram and cotton to get good yields.
Pre-Monsoon showers made farmers to start sowing. As a result, green gram and cotton are currently two to four weeks old, because some farmers are sown soon with regard to moisture in the soil.
According to the information provided by the agricultural department, farmers completed sowing in 2,63,931 hectares of the area, which is 63% against 416,474 hectares that were the aim set by the Ministry for this Kharife season.
Farmers performed the weed process after a week of sowing, allowing crops elegantly growing.
“The crop, so far has grown as expected. But it required immediate rains to get a good yield. If such dry charm continues, there is a possibility that the crops will dry or lack of yield,” said Balu Rathoda, farmer.
In several parts, where it was not enough to rain even after the arrival of the monsoon as usual, farmers began to mow late. Such crops will not face difficulty, because the current humidity in the soil helps them.
“It is necessary to have rain for growing crops. However, the cloudy atmosphere is expected to also help crops from drying,” said the Ratendranath Sugur, another farmer.
