A group of farmers from the village of Pennutipal in Madanapall Mandal in the district of Annamaya on Monday met with the government whip Pidugu Hariprasad in her office in Vijayawada and urged to relieve “false cases”, which was recently filed in connection with the death of the pregnant leopard.
Farmers claimed that forest officials had resorted to the arrest of their family members without warning or investigation. When their country was located near the place of leopard of death, landowners were arrested, claimed. They added that the villagers do not deal with the arrangement of Snare on the edge of the land and the death of Leopard.
Farmers also submitted Mr. Hariprasad a memorandum and demanded impartial investigation and withdrawal of cases against innocent farmers. They urged the government whip to bring its situation to the announcement of the Deputy Minister K. Pawan Kalyan for quick remedies.
Mr. Hariprasad assured the farmers and their family members that he was dealing with the matter with the representative of the main minister, who holds the portfolio of forests. The delegation was led by local leaders of Jan Sen (JSP) from Madanapalle.
Leopard’s death, which occurred on April 16, caused a stir in the region and forced higher officials of the forest department to throw themselves into Madanapall to start the probe in the direction of Mr. Pawan Kalyan.
