Farmer electrocuted in Nirmal district

A 45-year-old farmer died of electrocution after he allegedly came in contact with a live wire near an agricultural field in Soan village of Nirmal district on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Muthyam of New Bopparam village in the district. According to sources, he was on his way to his farmland on Sunday morning when the accident occurred.

He is said to have suffered a fatal electrocution after accidentally touching a live wire and collapsing on a shoulder adjacent to farmland. He is survived by his wife and three daughters.

The Soan police have registered a case and started an investigation.
