
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) submitted a unique sincere request to the Chief Minister of Karnatak Siddaramaha and said that if the team wins this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL), the day will be declared state holiday.
Fan, identified as Shivanand Malllannavar of the Belagavi district, urged the main minister to officially declare the day when the RCB wins the “RCB fans” festival – like Karnataka Rajyotsava.
Malllannavar also asked the Karnatak government to announce the date of the holiday every year to allow fans throughout the state to celebrate an important opportunity every year. He also applied for permission for national celebrations and proposed that proper measures to facilitate the festivities in all districts of Karnataka if the RCB wins the championship.
On Thursday, RCB defeated Punjab Super Kings in qualifying 1 to move to the finals. RCB had previously disappointed fans consistently because the team has not won the IPL over the past 18 years.
The picture of this hand -written letter to the main minister is widely shared across social media.
At a similar moment, Fandom Woman, who had a Thursday match in Chandigarh, attracted the woman wearing a red sari.
She held a courageous yellow label that read: “RCB AGAR Final na naji is this main and pati ko talaaq dungi,” (if RCB does not win the finals, divorce my husband). It is referred to as @chiraiya_ho and using Hashtag ‘kingkohli’, its display of the fandom quickly went viral, amused social media users and emphasized the intense passions and humor of RCB supporters this season IPL.
