In order to increase the readiness for the disaster, officials of the fire brigade carried out in coordination with various government agencies simulative drilling disasters in Rajahamsa flats near the RTC buses stand on Wednesday.
The main objective of the drill was to simulate the response procedures to emergency situations in the case of sudden disasters, such as explosions, fires due to gas and short -circuit leakage, collapse building and leading the district collector V. Vinod Kumar.
The exercise included live demonstrations of rescue operations, from the moment of a simulated accident to evacuate victims, manage emergency medical assistance and transfer victims to nearby hospitals. The drill also introduced the use of advanced rescue operating equipment. Income, police, health, national and state authorities for the administration of disasters were attended.
The collector emphasized the importance of public awareness and readiness. He called on the inhabitants to understand the role they play during emergencies and to work with the agencies involved in rescue operations to ensure fast and efficient events.
The collector also distributed the prizes and certificates of merits in youth and children who participated in the competitions of quizs for disaster management.
