Dayal, who was dealing with legal matters, did not join the RCB squad that began training at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium last week. He was also noticeably absent from the franchise’s social media posts, further fueling uncertainty about his status.Bobat said: “Yash will not be joining the team as he is going through a personal situation. We have been very supportive of Yash so far and this is reflected in the option to either keep or release the player. He remains under contract. We are in regular communication with him, but it has been decided that it is not in his best interest or the best interest of the franchise for him to join us at this time.”

We went into the auction planning on a worst-case scenario, so we recruited accordingly. We have some excellent home-grown bowlers who are potential options,” added Bobat.Adding to RCB’s bowling concerns was the continued absence of Australian quick Josh Hazlewood, who is still recovering from injury.“Once the CA is satisfied, he will come,” Bobat said.
