Dan Rivera, a well-known paranormal investigator, was found dead in the hotel room Gettysburg in Pennsylvania 13. He was 54 years old.
Rivera traveled with an allegedly obsessed doll that gained acquaintance through Conjuring franchise. Although the real Annabelle is Raggeda Ann Doll, which is usually maintained behind the glass in the occult Warrens Museum in Connecticut, it has recently been brought to a rare public tour – one Rivera helped lead.
According to the evening sun, River’s death is currently not considered suspicious, but an autopsy will be carried out to determine the official cause.
Just a week before his death, Rivera’s video Annabelle published with an ominous headline: “Gettysburg prepare yourself! On the road this week. It’s the last countdown.”
River’s final post on Facebook came on July 8 when he warned the followers of the next doll performance: “Maine… comes !!!! For the first time, the infamous Annabelle – yes that Annabelle – leaves the Warrens Museum and sets out on Maine paranormal and horror.”
He continued his cooling description: “The doll that inspired the Universe Conjuring will be on the full display, secured and under strict observation … But don’t say we warned you.”
In the same post he urged fans to face their fears: “This is your chance: stand in the presence of the most spooky object of America. Grab a photo once in a lifetime. Hear from experts about the true history of legend.
Finally, he wrote, “Annabelle is waiting. You will come to visit her … or will it come to see you?”
Rivera never got into Maine. After his death, his Facebook comments section became a place of sadness and speculation.
“I have heard you can take her on tour, but you can’t take her out of the box under any circumstances !!!” One person warned.
“They still play with the spiritual world and have no idea that they need to be respected,” another added.
