
The Educational Multimedia Research Center under the University of Calicut launched massive open online courses in Malayalam on Tuesday. Governor and Chancellor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar formally opened the courses at a function held at Lok Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram.
According to university sources, these courses are Geoinformatics, Green Chemistry, Medieval History of Kerala, Tourism, Heritage and Culture, Tourism Concepts and Sustainable Development. The half-year courses are prepared in accordance with the four-year bachelor’s program.
Registration has started and entry is free. Undergraduate and graduate students earn two to four credit points in their credit bank after completing the courses. Classes will start in January.
