The suspect terrorist Khalistani died in an explosion, while on Tuesday (May 27, 2025) he took an explosive material from the unoccupied space on the Majith Road bypass in Amritsar, Pandjab, the police said.
The intensity of the explosion held around 9:30 was such that both arms of the man were blown.
The Deputy General Inspector (Border Range) Satinder Singh said that a man suspected that he has a connection with a terrorist organization such as Babbar Khalsa International (BKI).
The man came here to get an explosive material, and then an explosion, he said.
“The explosive material was in his hands when the explosion occurred,” Mr. Singh told reporters in Amritsar. “We are investigating its identity and terrorist organization, which belonged to,” he said.
When answering the question and kick, he said that the man was not yet identified.
“According to the surrounding evidence, it is clear that this man was a member of a terrorist organization,” Mr. Singh said, adding that the police received several major tracks from the pocket of the man, suggesting his ties with some terrorist clothing.
The team of forensic scientific laboratories is investigating to see if it is an IED explosion (improvised explosive device) or a pomegran explosion.
Amritsar rural manager Maninder Singh manager said that the man was getting some explosive material when the explosion occurred, perhaps because of misunderstanding.
The locals reported that they have heard a loud explosion followed by a panic in an area that has been referred to by the police since then.
Dig appealing to people not to panic, and said, “We’ll listen to this case soon”.
