
A forty -year -old man died and four others were injured after the stones were reported to fall, while on Thursday they blasted a huge rock using explosives in a stone quarry in Dumagere, Hassan Taluk.
The deceased was identified as Mani, while Yelumalai, 40, Selvan, 22, Madhulai, 42, and Siddaraju, 23 years old who were injured in the Hassan hospital.
The incident, when the workers fired on sources on Thursday, there was an incident. The owners of the Navyashree Minerals admitted the injured in the hospital. Mani later died when he was moved to a hospital in Bengalur. It was argued that the owners did not inform the police or officers of the ministry of mines and geology about the incident.
Deputy Commissioner C. Satyabham and Police Manager Mohammed Siteetha visited a place and hospital to ask the injured.
On the basis of a complaint filed by G. Srinivas, senior geologist of the ministry down, the police registered a case against five persons – Devaraju Tn, Arjun DD, Sridhar Babu, Krishnamurty, all representing minerals Navyashree, and Prakash, a job supervisor, 1923, 1908, 1908.
