A team from the Central Soil and Materials Research Station inspected the quality of materials used in the Polavaram project on Tuesday. Specialists, including Anvesh, Gaurav Pandey, Uday Chakravarthy and Harinder Singh Prakash, examined the soil and rock used in the ECRF dam and other components of the project. Samples were collected from multiple locations and tested at a local laboratory, while additional samples were sent for advanced analysis.
The team also reviewed the materials used in the Gap-1 and Gap-2 papers. Officials from the Department of Water Resources and the implementing agency assisted in the inspection. Experts expressed satisfaction with the adherence to quality standards in the project.
