In Kalaburagi and Bidar, false exercises have been carried out for reaction to emergency situations, aimed at strengthening the readiness of various departments and raising public awareness of how to react during critical situations.
Drills, part of the ABHYAS operation, according to the instructions of central and state governments, simulated scenarios from bomb explosions to war emergency.
The series of exercises began on Friday evening at the High Court in Karnataka, Kalaburagag. A simulated bomb explosion, organized as a terrorist attack involving a drone, launched a quick response of emergency services.

Exercise also included National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets and Indian Red Cross Society volunteers, providing first aid and facilitating approximately 50 victims of simulated bombs to local hospitals, including the Gulbarga Medical Sciences Institute and ESIC.
After the exercise, the chairman of the district administration of disasters and vice -chairman B. Fouzia Tarannum emphasized the importance of public peace and unity during emergencies.
It outlined plans for similar exercises to raise awareness in other public spaces.
SD Police Commissioner SharanAppa emphasized the key role of interdepartmental coordination in mitigating the impact of disasters.
Judge Indesh of the High Court appreciated the exercise for building public confidence and the transfer of basic knowledge of self -defense.
The next evening, on Saturday, a related simulin drill took place at Bidar Station.
The drill simulated the bomb explosion followed by fire and the initial emergency siren sounded at 16:30
The second siren indicated a fire incident. Exercise focused on immediate events should have civilians and rapid evacuation of simulated victims to ensure location.
Employees of fire and emergency services immediately responded and started rescue operations.
A temporary first aid center, sorting and command center was established at the railway station. The ambulances were at hand to carry “injured” to hospitals. The drill has shown a coordinated reaction of various departments and expected public behavior during the emergency situation.
The Pradeep Gunti police manager emphasized the importance of public balance and internal cooperation during such crises.
The railway police and employees provided full support with approximately 300 police staff participation.
Representative of the Commissioner Shilpa Sharma welcomed the successful performance of this exercise, which included cooperation of the District Administration, Police, Health Department and Fire Services.
