Why Ahmedabad is probably the sports capital of India? | Bombay Sports Stock Exchange
“There are established centers like Rajkot, Pune, Raipur, Vizag and Indore. The current situation is simple, if MI says yes to DY Patil, tomorrow some other team can come and express their desire to host their matches in Brabourne. It kills the sanctity of home grounds. And there must be a strong justification why RCB is not ready to play in these centers and is only interested in DY Patil.”It is further understood that RCB have already held detailed talks with the Chhattisgarh government to host at least two of their home matches in Raipur in 2026. With DY Patil no longer in the running, Indore has emerged as an option for the remaining five games.“There were discussions when DY Patil was also in the race, but now that he is out, Indore is back in the mix,” the source added.
KSCA continues to promote RCB matches at Chinnaswamy
Since the tragic stampede on June 4, the Chinnaswamy Stadium has not hosted a major cricket match. The iconic venue is currently undergoing modernization based on 17 recommendations of the Justice D’Cunha Committee and the KSCA has already started work on most of them. RCB also met Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Monday. Chief Operating Officer Rajesh Menon, KSCA President Venkatesh Prasad and several other representatives attended the meeting.Prasad was upbeat after Monday’s meeting, but the franchise continues to explore options. With the season approaching, this decision needs to be communicated to the IPL Board of Governors and the BCCI as soon as possible to ensure timely publication of the season fixtures.

Do you think RCB should prioritize securing a new home in Raipur over Indore?
There is an inspection of the venue on Wednesday and some clarification is expected after the officials’ meeting.“In Wednesday’s meeting, senior government, police and law officials will discuss what can be done at the government level and the directions to be given to the KSCA. The extent of rectifying the problems identified by the Justice D’Cunha committee will have to be considered. We need the CM’s approval,” Parameshwara said.
