Washington Sundar played only one game for Gujarat Titans this season and immediately affected Bat (PTI) New Delhi:The ability of Washington Sundar to burn anywhere and mix at different stages of the game makes it a valuable benefit for every captain. 25-year-old left-handed dough and off-spinner are a kind of player that can affect the bat and the ball; one who can smoothly float in the order of batting.
Its rotation can be used in various stages of shifts, as shown in his short career, even worked with a new ball in PowerPlay overs. But even though he was 25 -year -old crickets, a 25 -year -old player was starving from consistent game time, both at the international level and in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
In the free round of Timesofindia.com, the versatile shared his thoughts on the rule of the player’s impact, as he maintained his routine and rhythm despite limited opportunities and the importance of support he received from coach Gautam Gambhira.
Excerpts:
Is there a rule you want to get rid of in IPL? I can give you help: It starts …
You really have to ask the audience because I’m part of the team. I do not think I have any control over the change of any of the rules, nor would I think that something like that. So the audience will give you better answers and certainly much more fun.
In general, you do not have much time, whether with the Indian team or in IPL. How difficult is it to keep this rhythm?
It’s not too difficult, honestly, because we practice every day. We have to do what we want and work on various aspects of the game. So find the rhythm and stay on top of the game is under my control. If I give 100 percent in each individual session, I find the best rhythm and the best system of faith. It’s all about the purpose they will bring to every practice.

How important do you think is the Impact Player for IPL?
The India Coach Gautam Gambhir team supported you a lot. How important is it for players?
Honestly, it makes a huge difference. Gauti Bhai helped me understand my potential and how to approach my game in different situations. Below it was a massive learning experience. It definitely makes a huge difference to understand yourself and your own skills sets. In this way, your graph is just rising and getting more perspectives from the people around you. I have learned a lot about myself in the last few months.
Similarly, you work with Ashish in GT.
I have known him for several years. We also worked together on RCB. So I knew what to expect from him and GT culture. He believes a lot to adapt to situations and reading conditions as soon as possible. This season we did it really as a team. They believe that enough work is being prepared. I think it really worked for all of us, regardless of whether you are young or older players.
Overall, GT is a new setting for you, new franchises. What was the experience so far?
Before I joined, I talked to my friends (Sai Sudharsan and Sai Kishhore) about GT. Frankly, we practice a lot. When it comes to improving each set of skills, we have to insert a lot of volume. If you mean a specific purpose and work to improve any aspect of the game, it must happen and you are obliged to find your best rhythm and magic you are looking for.
Do you work to add a new element to your bowling? Any mysterious (Carrom) ball?
It is definitely exciting and fun to try new vans, especially those that you can mix without changing your natural technique too much. I’ve been doing it in the last year and a half. At the end of the day, bowling is something you have to enjoy, regardless of the format. The more you enjoy and the more work you put, the better you get and see more magic in the field.
IPL matches are played on playgrounds that are preferred dough. How difficult is it for a traditional off-spinner like you?
Even for fast pitchners, there are many times when there is not much help. In addition to the first two exceeding, there is not much for fast pitching. The point is how they adapt to these situations and get the best of themselves in the challenging conditions to excel. It’s all about working and thinking about your game.
Your shots and shots without appearance look so effortless and play them without losing shape. Was it always natural?
I started to face medium pacers and fast pitching very soon in my career. That definitely helped. I remember going to the MRF PACE Foundation Foundation and launching against the fast pitching from the age of 13. Over the years, I have understood how to face speeds and in which shots I can be good and constantly improve, especially against fast pitching. It is also about understanding my game, and the shots come quite naturally. In addition, I prepare for these shots daily and constantly improve.
You started your career as the dough of the highest order. What is your preferred tab position?
It’s definitely fun to bat because you get more balls and more opportunities to get big runs. But it is also exciting to go in when the team needs to perform best and win the game. It’s all about trying to win the team for the team, regardless of the situation. But at the same time it is so fun to bat on top and face swings, speed and quality rotation. Trying to maximize my skills in these situations definitely makes me happy.
