Everyone should become an ecological, said the Minister of General Education V. Sivankutty.
After performing the state inauguration “Kalpakam” in the system of higher secondary national service here on Thursday.
The Minister called on the spread of the message of loving nature because one would love their nation. He reminded the students that the change in climate, deforestation, floods or drought and the problem of waste influenced the daily life of not only others but also our own.
Like Kerala, it was a model for others in the field of education, and the leader in the field of environmental protection should also appear. Efforts to create environmental awareness among students have been developed in government and supported schools through initiatives such as Harith Vidyalayam, Missionwa’s activities, anti-plastic campaign and popularization of organic farming.
Students should go beyond the knowledge of the environment contained in textbooks and experience things themselves so that nature conservationists can become, the minister said.
He stressed the need to ensure that all initiatives of the department were green. From new buildings to daily activities, everything should be done in an ecological way, he said.
