Ethiraj College for Women in Chennai on Tuesday opened a startup incubation center on its premises to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among students.
The center was inaugurated by Asha Ajith, Project Director, TNWeSafe, in the presence of Sivarajah Ramanathan, Managing Director and CEO, StartupTN; CK Kumaravel and Veena Kumaravel, co-founders of Natural Salon; and VM Muralidharan, Chairman, and S. Uma Gowrie, Principal and Secretary of Ethiraj College.
According to a press release, the center has been designed to create an inspiring and vibrant atmosphere and aims to provide a dynamic ecosystem for budding female entrepreneurs. It will facilitate ideation, collaboration and presentation, and help students design business models and conduct research.
