The former representative of the Chief Minister of KS EshwarAppa said he would not return to the BJP until the party was “cleaned”.
“BJP in the state forgot about Hindutvy’s ideology. Many BJP workers, disappointed with recent developments, contact me,” he told reporters after many workers from different sides, including the BJP, on his forum – Rashtra Bhakhtara Balag.
Mr. EshwarAppa said he had never considered himself a connection to a side other than BJP. However, he would not return to the side until the problems he has raised. “BJP in Karnataka took over one family. I am against it,” he repeated.
He further explained that he and the former chief Minister of BS Yediyuppa were like brothers. “We built a party together and started doing business. When I didn’t feel good, he called me on the phone to ask my health. I took part in his grandson’s wedding. But such gestures have nothing to do with politics,” he said.
BJP excluded Mr. EshwarApp in 2024 after he decided to attack the Shivamogg Lok Sabha seat as an independent candidate.
