Democrats on the House Oversight and Accountability Committee released never-before-seen photos and videos of the private island of late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein on Wednesday (Dec. 3), as calls continue for the Justice Department to release its files.
Pictures and videos taken from Little St. James in the US Virgin Islands provide a rare glimpse into Epstein’s notorious Caribbean region.
Public access
Democrats on the Oversight Committee shared the images and videos on X (formerly Twitter), encouraging the public to “see for themselves” and raise awareness of the ongoing investigation into Epstein’s criminal activities.
Scary images inside the island
The visuals reveal several rooms in Epstein’s luxury retreat, including:
-A room reminiscent of a dentist’s surgery, decorated with masks of historical figures.
– Shower area full of pillows and towels.
– Clean and spacious bedrooms.
-A chalkboard in Epstein’s office with words like “political,” “conspiracy,” “deception,” “power,” “truth,” and “music.”
-A landline at the residence displayed speed dial buttons next to the New York office labeled with names including Darren, Rich, Mike, Patrick and Larry, with the other four names censored.
Observations of the supervisory committee
Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.), a member of the commission, called the images “a disturbing look into the world of Jeffrey Epstein and his island.” added:
“We are releasing these photos and videos to ensure public transparency in our investigation and help piece together the full picture of Epstein’s horrific crimes. We will not stop fighting until we get justice for the survivors.”
The commission described the photos as “an appalling look behind Epstein’s closed doors”, highlighting the luxurious environment where Epstein allegedly groomed and abused minors while hosting the world’s elite.

The photos and videos were obtained through civil lawsuits with JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank and the US Virgin Islands. Democrats emphasized that while the materials shed light on Epstein’s operations, full transparency requires the release of the Justice Department’s criminal investigative files.
Trump signs law to release Epstein records
On November 19, President Trump signed legislation requiring the Department of Justice to release all unclassified records, documents, communications and investigative materials related to Epstein, along with classified information “to the maximum extent possible.” The committee set a deadline of December 19 for the Justice Department to comply.
Rep. Garcia reiterated on social media: “We will continue to release documents and files as we receive them. Survivors deserve justice and the truth. We need the DOJ to release all files NOW.”
