Women accusing Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell of Sex Trading, gathered on Wednesday (September 3) in the American capitol and demanded the release of all investigative sets bound to Epstein’s crimes. The survivors and their families gathered with brands who read “trust victims, not crime” and “stand up for the survivors”.
“It is the important voices of those who survived these crimes, so we are here together to stand united,” said Liz Stein, who says her meeting with Maxwell and Epstein derailed her ambition of the Faculty of Law. “Instead of fulfilling my dream … overcoming the terror and trauma that caused me these trade sex, my decade has become a full -time career.”
Push for a congress action
The rally coincided with the Bipartisan efforts in the congress to force the vote to release the so -called Epstein files. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-ky.) And Rep. RO KHANNA (D-Calif.) There are a petition of release that could induce justice to publish all records.
“I hope my colleagues are watching this press conference. I want them to think, what if she was your sister? What if it was your daughter?” Massie said.
Khanna repeated this call and said, “Today we stand with the survivors, we are against big money, we are worth protecting American children. This is really what it is about.”
Emotional testimony
The survivors described in detail how Epstein and Maxwell focused on them. Theresa J. Helm, now the defending champion of the National Sexual Exploration Center, remembered that Maxwell was modified at the age of 22: “Ghislaine, it was your calm, manipulative and fraudulent behavior that cultivated my confidence … You were sent to the Monster House.
Helm said that Maxwell’s imprisonment deserves: “You are a system-and you are now part of another system you earned … a prison system where you deserve to live in your 20-year sentence.”
Call for complete publication
The rally is governed by the release of 2 September from the 33 295 parties of the Ministry of Justice from the Supervision Supervision Committee. However, critics said most of the ensembles were already public.
Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.), The Commission ranking, said, “33,000 pages of Epstein’s documents have decided to release that they are already public information. To deceive the US people.”
The survivors committed that the congress would not end. “We are keys,” said Haley Robson, who claims to have been traded by Epstein from the age of 16. “We know games. We know players.”
Families demand justice
Sky Roberts, the brother of the deceased Virginia Roberts Giuffre – Epstein’s most important prosecutor – gave an emotional speech.
“No indulgence, no agreements, no special treatment. Epstein’s documents must be cut off. Every name, every detail. No more secrets, no other protection for those who were vulnerable.”
He added: “Finally, we require full responsibility from every activator, every accomplice, everyone in the power that closed his eyes.”
The next steps in the congress
Massie’s petition has so far attracted the support of four Republicans – Massie, Nancy Mace, Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert – along with growing democratic support. If all 212 democrats apply, only two other Republicans are needed to achieve 218 signatures needed to enforce the vote on the floor.
“We are not here as guerrillas, we are here as patriots,” Khanna said. “Progressivists, independent, moderation and yes, Maga supporters to demand the truth and justice.”
