
New Delhi: In April 2025, the Organization of the Provisional Funds of Employees (EPFO) recorded a net adding of 1.91 million members in April 2025, which is, according to interim data on Sunday, an increase of 31.31% compared to the previous month.
The data showed that the EPFO added 849,000 new members within a month, of which 245,000 were women.
According to the Ministry of Labor, a significant proportion of new members were 57.67% of the total amendments, young employees aged 18 to 25 years.
In addition, wages have shown that approximately 1.57 million members appeared in April, only to register with it in the same month.
“These members have changed their jobs and re -connected to the facilities covered by the EPFO, and decided to convert their accumulation instead of a final settlement application, thus protecting long -term financial well -being and extending their social security,” the Ministry said.
This overall increase in membership in April can be attributed to various factors, such as increased job opportunities, increasing awareness of employee benefits and effectiveness of EPFO field programs, the ministry added.
The top five countries accounted for 60.10% of net members of members during April, corresponding to about 1.15 million people. The Maharashtra leads by adding 21.12% of net wages within a month, the Ministry of Labor said.
Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Haryan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Telangana added more than 5% of the total net wage in a month, the ministry said.
