England Women 142/7 in 45.4 Overs | IND vs ENG, Lord’s Test Day 4 Live Score: Sneh Rana strikes, England lose seventh wicket

India vs England Live Score Lord’s Test Day 3: Yastika Bhatia scored one of the biggest moments of her career by becoming the first woman to score a Test century at Lord’s before India’s fast bowlers dismantled England’s batting line-up to move within touching distance of a commanding victory in a historic one-off Test.

The stylish left-hander struck 113 off 158 deliveries, produced some fine legwork against spin and elegant straight drives against the seamers as India declared at 341 for seven in their second innings. Combined with Richa Ghosh’s aggressive unbeaten half-century, Bhatia’s landmark helped India set England a formidable target of 457 runs.

England’s chase never picked up steam as Kranti Gaud produced another excellent spell with the new ball. She dismissed Tammy Beaumont with the first delivery of the innings before later claiming Heather Knight, ensuring neither England stalwart enjoyed a memorable farewell. Sayali Satghare matched Gauda’s intensity and trapped Maia Bouchier with a brilliant delivery that bounced sharply off the seam.

The hosts slipped to 34 for four and remained under pressure throughout the innings despite Amy Jones fighting back with an unbeaten 52. Jones and Mady Villiers delayed the inevitable with a 67-run partnership, but Rich Ghosh’s brilliant catch at silly point ended the stand and restored India in complete control. England closed the third day on 130 for six, needing another 327 runs with just four wickets in hand.

Earlier in the day, Bhatia overcame the loss of Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues and Harmanpreet Kaur to turn her overnight 39 into a memorable hundred. Lauren Bell impressed with the ball while Sophie Ecclestone completed a deserved five-wicket run, but neither could stop India from dominating the match.

Reflecting on her historic achievement, Bhatia admitted she could hardly have imagined she would be on the Lord’s honors board just six months after undergoing surgery for a torn ACL. The 25-year-old thanked her family, coaches, teammates and the BCCI Center of Excellence for helping her return to international cricket and reiterated that she was only motivated to contribute to the team’s success.
