It is not a green top, but fans should expect a good cricket playground in the 1st test match between India and England, the curator of the headingley playground said on Monday, June 16. He spoke three days before the opener of the series, the chief curator Richard Robinson said he wanted the game to have a good balance between the bat and the ball.
In an interview with RevSportz Robinson, he said he wanted the match to go for 5 days and did not end in three, such as those between India and Australia in the last WTC cycle. The main curator added that he expects a total of 300-run from anyone who first in the test match, despite the history of the seam and reflection in the Headley.
“It is supposed to be quite a hot forecast, so it’s good to let a little moisture start and see how it goes,” Robinson said about the current state of the goal, which looks like a green top three days before the first test.
“The grass will be shortened. It was a very dry summer for us, so we put a lot of water into the pitch, so they hold together for 5 days. We hope it is a 5 -day test match and not a 3 -day test match,” he explained.
The curator hoped that the goal would cope with the match and that the dough would enjoy time on the pitch.
“We hope it will be good for the bat and the ball. Ideally, the pitchers will get help at the beginning and then the game is equal to the game,” he said.
“If you get 300 in the first shifts, it would be a good sum. The other two shifts may be slightly higher,” concluded the head curator headingley.
India carried a fresh unit to England after retirement Rohit Sharma and Virt Kohli. Despite the availability of Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane, selectors showed confidence in newcomers – Sai Sudharsan and Abhimanyu Easware.
SHUBMAN GILL leads a side and will support Seniors Kl Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja. Rishabh Pant was appointed a SHUBMAN representative for the series.
