England Captain Ben Stokes sent a warning to India and said that his party is not a toboggan battle with visitors, but will not return from the fight. The series saw some heated moments between the two camps during the Lord’s test as the captain of India SHUBMAN GILL went to English openersZak Crawley and Ben Duckett.
That would cause a game to life when we saw a quarrel between Duckett and Mohammed Sraji, that had the Indian Pacer fined. 5th day Jofra Archer had an animated shipping for Rishabh Pant and BRYDON CARSE AND RAVINDRA JADEJA also had a run. Stokes, who spoke at a press conference on the eve of the fourth test, said he felt that both teams did not go to have a war on the pitch on the pitch and there would be moments that would warm up the series.
The English captain said both teams are under pressure and there will be such moments and some heat during matches.
“I don’t think it’s one of those things where we will necessarily just go out and start with it. I don’t think none of the teams know, they really look.
“There’s a lot of pressure on both teams to go out and get out. So, look at the environment when you’re out. It’s obvious that there will be some moments and some warmth. Apparently the night Zak and Ben had to go out with the fact that we started, and we also had the advantage of bowling in the test match.
“We won’t take the back”
Stokes was reminded of Harry Brook’s comments about coach Brendon McCullum that England was too nice. Stokes said it was a nice moment for the team when they joined, but repeated that they did not want to establish any war words in the middle, because they would concentrate from the field.
But the English captain also warned the Indian team and said he wasn’t taking warmth without returning.
“It was a really nice moment, I think like a team that, when you talk about something like that, and then everyone buys. As I said, it’s not something that we will deliberately go out and try to start again, because we will focus on what we have to do in the middle, but in no way we do it.
“I think this is true for most teams to be honest, so it’s not like the only team that does it,” Stokes said.
The Manchester test between England and India will begin on July 23.
