District collector TS Chetan informed officials on Wednesday to speed up work on the Bengaluru-Vijayawad highway. The collector inspected the intersection of the NH-44 in the Topu from Childamur Mandal in the Sri Satya Sai district.
He checked the proposed location of the Trumpet to KM 0+280 to NH-544G, part of the package and within the Greenfield Highway Project project. The collector emphasized the need to speed up construction work throughout the district and stated that the highway would encourage connectivity between Bengalur and Vijayawada, drastically shorten the travel time and distance, in addition to strengthening the economic landscape of the district.
Mr. Chetan also ordered engineers to follow quality standards and ensure timely completion of the project.
