A 20-year-old engineering student was found dead in her hostel in Medipally on Thursday, March 19.
The deceased, identified as Nandini, allegedly hanged herself at a private hostel in Narapally, Medipally. “She was a third-year B.Tech student at Siddharth Engineering College and hailed from Sanugula village in Chandurthi mandal of Sirisilla district,” said an officer from Medipally police station.
According to the police officer, the incident came to light after the hostel management alerted the authorities. Based on the hostel owner’s complaint, the Medipally police registered a case and started an investigation. The causes of death are not yet known.
