In a match that had all-shell partnership, dramatic collapse, field errors, and nerves with adjustment-English women maintained their T20i series alive with a narrow bad 5-rug victory against India in Thir Third T20i 4.
England, which comes to play 0-2 in the series, needed something special. And for the first 15 exceeding their shifts, it seemed that they finally found their groove. Sophia Dunkley and Danni Wyatt-Hodge came out all the weapons that could be and assembled a 137-run opening stand that set the tone. Dunkley looked folded and confidently when he scored 75 out of 53 balls, while Wyatt-Hodge finally broke her low score with a clean 66 of 42.
ENG-W VS Ind-W, 3. T20i: Veliky
England looked at a huge overall overall and easily swimming around 130 brand without losing the goal. But what followed was a sudden and dramatic collapse. The sharp spells from Deepti Sharma and Arundhati Reddy – who grabbed three goals – braked on scoring while Shree Charani added two more to a pile of pressure. What was once a dominant 137-run opening booth has quickly turned into a trip because England lost nine goals in just 34 runs and ended with the 171 for 9.
The answer of India started just as strong. Mandhan and Shafali Verma fully used some bad field of hosts-which have abandoned several direct catches-K construction of an 85-run partnership. Shafali was best on her smooth, she broke 47 only 25 balls, while Mandhana played a more measured knock and raised her half a century at 38 supplies.
England, however, did not give up and managed to fight. Sophie Ecclestone bowed to Shafali to break the opening rack, and then Lauren Filler brought her pace to the game and in quick succession rejected Rodrigues and Mandhana. This magic Filler has shifted momentum, and suddenly Indian persecution did not look so straightforward.
Despite hiccups, India was still in control of Harmanpreet Kaur and Rich Ghosh at the fold and only 20 needed from the last two breaks. But the pressure made his business. Ghosh fell on an excellent diving catch by Charlie Dean and the English pitch began to tighten the screws. With 12 needs to win the last to win another victory and sealed the series, it was Lauren Bell, which kept her peace. In the first five she passed only six runs and then Harmanpreet released at the final van-Indian captain who tried to go antennas just to find Ecclestone in the middle.
It was much needed victory for England, which now in the series Trail 1-2 with two games.
