Indian preparations for the upcoming test series of five matches against England received early support and head coach Gautam Gambhir re -joining the Leeds team. Gambhir was back in Headingley 18.
Gambhir returned to India 11 June After the medical emergency of his mother, who was hospitalized after a heart attack. The team will try to bounce back after recent disappointment, including the loss of the home series in New Zealand and the defeat of Trophy Border-Gavascar against Australia.
Despite his strong victory of 4-1 test series over England early this year, the upcoming challenge is a completely different test. Both sides will want to make a strong start of the new WTC cycle and add additional weight to Leeds.
