Joe Root etched his name in record books by becoming only the fourth batter in the history of the test cricket to get 8000 or more runs when launching on No. 4.
Former England Captain reached a milestone on the 4th day of the third test against India SHUBMAN GILL-LOCKED India on a cult cricket country in London. The only other players who have achieved this performance are Sachin Tendulkar, Mahela Jayawardene and Jacques Kallis.

Previously, Root added another famous chapter to his test career on the 2nd day in Lord’s. England, recorded its 37th test centuries, overcame 36 testing.
Restoring undefeated to 99, Root did not waste time to achieve a three -digit brand and powered the very first ball of the day on the border.
