
An indefinite agitation launched by the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) unions, including Left unions, protesting the “denial of rights” by the KSEB management continues outside the KSEB state headquarters here.
Organized under the banner of National Coordinating Committee of Electricity Employees and Engineers (NCCOEEE), the agitation entered its fourth day on Saturday.
The union’s demands include steps to immediately release arrears of compensation and poverty relief (DA/DR), allocation of sufficient funds for the Pension Fund and approval of wage revision agreements in the KSEB.
The agitation was launched on October 15.
The fourth day of the agitation was launched by the state president of the KSEB Pensioners’ Union, N. Venugopal, on Saturday. KSEB Workers’ Union (CITU) State Treasurer AH Saju presided.
