On Tuesday (August 5, 2025), there were witnesses of wet eyes and emotional scenes in Srinagar, where the Governor J&K Lieutenant Manoi Sinha gave the letters to the appointment of 158 related terror victims.
On this occasion, LG Sinha said he would do everything for rehabilitation to rehabilitate the victims of terror. “It is my promise to another of the families of the terror of the Kins of Terror that the perpetrators of the abominable crime will receive an exemplary punishment. We will also provide the toughest possible punishment for terror sympathizers,” LG said.
The victims of terror were from the whole valley of Kashmir. Many of them were children when their parents were killed at the age of 90. Among the families identified for employment included special police officer Manzoor Ahmad rather, the inhabitants of Warpora, Baramulla, killed by terrorists supported by Pakistan 25 years ago. Ratiin’s son Khurshid Ahmad was rather handed over by a letter of meeting.
It was a long waiting for Parvez Ahmad a gift to finally see a beam of hope. July 6, 1996, the terrorists killed Dar’s father Ghulam Qadir Dar. On July 30, 2004, his brother Aijaz Ahmad was also killed by terrorists.
“Twenty -nine years after the death of her father, Parvez’s nightmare ended. Krany, which persisted for decades, is now healing. Today’s important event has provided a sense of closure to families that have suffered quietly for years,” said Governor Lieutenant.
“The Abdul Majida’s family lost a single breadwinner and received 1 lakh 1 as an ex-Gratia payment within the security-related scheme (Sre). Although Abdul Majid Mirova, his family tried to live dignity.
Mr. Sinha appreciated the courage and endurance of families that suffered from terrorism. “Long waiting for justice and the beginning of recovery is in families of victims of terror victims. I assure family members of civilian martyrs that I will not rest until every family who became the victims of the terrorists will not get justice,” Lg Sinha said.
LG chose 5th August, anniversary of the cancellation of Article 370 to distribute jobs between terror victims, carried a message in itself.
“On August 5, 2019, a new jamm and Kashmir were born. The new J&K, who had dreams of gold in the future. The new J&K, who treated all his citizens as the same and eliminated discrimination that was predominant over seven decades,” Lg Sinha said.
He added that peace was a prerequisite for progress. “There is no room for terrorism in civilized society. Many generations of J&K have suffered the onslaught of terrorism committed by neighboring countries. Every person has to commit that it will not allow it again. We have to get up against terrorism,” said Mr. Sinha.
LG Management came up with a web portal that streamlines and speeds up the process of providing relief, compassionate appointments and other forms of assistance to those who suffered from terrorism in UT.
