Emma Raducan expressed gratitude to Wimbledon organizers for blocking her stalker from buying tickets for this year’s championship and described this step by reassuring her security as a professional athlete.
At the beginning of this year, the British tennis star was exposed to a scary suffering after the man followed her over several tournaments and tried to approach it personally. Police Dubai police were later filed at the command for restrictions, but despite the legal restrictions, he tried to secure tickets to Wimbledon.
Thanks to the improved security measures at the All England club, his name was marked during a routine inspection of public vote applicants and his attempt to purchase tickets was blocked.
“Wimbledon and everyone did an amazing job,” the BBC said. “I got a notice, the police contacted me and told me everything was fine.”
The 22 -year -old man who met a man at the events in Singapore in Abu Dhabi and Doha had remembered that he had seen in tears in February after he saw him during the match at Dubai championships. Its permanent presence was deeply upset, which led to increased concern for its security in and outside the court.
“I know I’m not the first athlete to go through it, and I probably won’t be the last – not only as an athlete, but women in general,” she said.
Raducan, which has risen to global importance with its stunning US Open Triumph triumph, said it is now traveling with significantly more protection, especially in large tournaments such as Wimbledon.
“I have much more protection around me – especially those here in the UK, where it is busy and there are more spectators. I feel the difference and it assures me and forces me to feel more comfortable,” she added.
British No. 3 also appreciated the countryman Katie Boulter for opening on her own experience with online abuse and emphasized the emotional tolls of toxic reports on athletes.
“I try and do not read comments I do not even look at the news because it upset you,” Raducan said. “It doesn’t matter how many positive comments you read, you will always remember the more negative ones – so I’m just trying to stay on.”
