Xai, owned by Elon Musk, will soon be able to add a new “no chance” mode to its artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot. AI companies recently updated their FAQ page and added a reference to this new model, which is designed to be “offensive, inappropriate and offensive.” If this new mode is added, it will add to the regular and “fun” modes provided by the chatbot. It is worth noting that Musk laughed at the Helpless Mode for the first time last year, but the platform has not announced any details of when it will be released.
Xai’s FAQ mentions Grok Chatbot’s “no chance” mode
Originally discovered by TechCrunch, Unhinged Mode was recently mentioned in the FAQ section of XAI website. Describes the capabilities of AI Chatbot Grok, which mentions a regular pattern, accompanied by a fun and uninspired pattern. The first two are already available, and the no-flight mode has not yet been started.
The FAQ section does emphasize that these patterns may be “available as beta technology”, which suggests that new patterns may be currently being tested and used by a small number of users. As for exactly what is an unacceptable model, the company explained that “the “no chance” model is designed to be offensive, inappropriate and offensive, like an amateur standing comic that is still learning crafts.”
Currently, Grok’s regular style answers queries seriously, just like other AI chatbots like Chatgpt, Gemini and Claude. Funny patterns respond ironically and joke about entertainment purposes. However, neither mode uses offensive language or produces inappropriate text, which may be the “function” provided by the mode without introduction.
Since the feature has not been released, it is unclear how the company plans to prepare safeguards to protect minors from clear language. The chatbot’s terms of service mention that Grok is not targeting users under the age of 13, while users between the ages of 13 and 18 require permission from their parents or legal guardians to use the chatbot.
Apart from the FAQ area, there are no official announcements about this new Grok model. But last year, Musk hints at this feature in an article on X (formerly known as Twitter) that we can expect to announce more details.
