Still tasted a sweet winter delicacy pandjab called Pinni? Sweet can be made of roasted wheat flour, sugar, ghee and nuts and can be sampled when choosing at stalls with foods operated by a bunch of university students in the city.
In addition to Pinni, you can also try other value -added products created by the latest annual BTCH (Dairy Technology) at the College of Dairy Science and Technology in Kaimanam, near Karamany, in these stalls. Products include yoghurt, curd, gulab jamun, Payasam, marble cake, cupcake, lassi, sambharam, butter buns, kulfi, chops, sips, carrot Halwa and ghee biscuits.
The University of Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (Kvsnu) encourages students to support their business skills and apply their teaching in the class for production and sale in the real world through the flagship on the flagship of the experience of Vibhavam. Students learn vital skills needed to start and operate food store through this program.
In their seventh semester, students of seed financing receive, production and selling products based on dairy products. With the instructions of members of the Faculty of Rejeesh R., Shyam Suraj SR and Rachana CR, all aspects of business manage. The first weeks of the semester focus on the selection of products, branding, pricing and creating FSSAI (food security and standard office of India) – additional labels. With the management of their teachers, students create a business plan for their business. The entire operation takes 70 days. Then they open the stalls.

Every year a new brand is created for the company. This year, class 12 students appointed its “K-Lit” brand and combined to (for Keral) and the French word for milk.
Pinni is a new addition to their product range and is of high demand. Yogurt is also sought after, reflecting growing awareness of health among consumers.
“We used to produce several fat -rich products,” says Dr. Rejeesh. “In the last two years, however, we have been following the mandate of HFSS (high fat, sugar and salt) under the FSSAI, which supports the reduction of these components and at the same time increases health benefits.”
“We also receive pre -orders in stables,” says Akshitha V. Antony, student.
The challenges are too much. “Given that it is a short -term company permanent for three or four months, we are not able to buy material packaging in bulk,” emphasizes another student Vismaya Ramesh. “When we rely on transport services, some earnings are heading towards its costs,” says her classmate Devika S. Janaki.
Students say the stalls are established in various places, including government offices, on the premises of the museum and zoo and other universities. The permanent stand is maintained in the regional telecommunications training center BSNL (RTTC) in Kaimanam, where there is a college campus. Students also participate in exposses and events.
