
The first dose of nine liquid elephants led by majestic Tusker Abhimanya marched to the Mysur Palace, which indicated a spectacle at the sip, which was evidenced by hundreds of people despite drizzle and rain on Sunday evening.
Elephants have been camping in Aranya Bhavan since August 4 after the gajapayana ceremony in Veeranahosahalli near Nagarahole. The date of their formal welcome and reception in the palace was set on August 10, and therefore the elephants were best shrouded in their festive deviations.
On Sunday afternoon they received Abhimanyu and the company of ceremonial dispatch from Aranya Bhavan with traditional rituals and floral offers. There were cultural groups and a set of traditional musicians who were part of the retinue.

District Minister HC Mahadevappa, Minister for Breeding of the Animals Venkatesh, MLA TS Srivatsa and GT Deve Gowda, Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy, Commissioner Police Seem Latkar, were present.
Elephants will rest for one or two days after which they will be exposed to the daily test along the parade from the palace to Banimantap. At the right time, the second dose of five more elephants will join them in preparation for Dasar celebrations.
The arrival of Abhimany and his team also signals the countdown on Dasar and the palace soil will be the hive of the activity until the closure of the festivities.
