The Andhra Pradesh government operationalized its Sustainable Electric Mobility Policy (4.0) 2024-2029 by announcing five “E-Mobility Model Cities”, marking a significant shift towards clean and technology-based urban transport systems.
The Department of Urban Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) issued GOrt.No.499 approving the operational framework and strategic plan for implementation across urban local bodies (ULBs). The selected cities — Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Nellore and Tirupati — represent the five administrative divisions of the state.
