
Two days after Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned from the Vice President, the Indian Election Commission (ECI) on Wednesday 23rd July said it started the process of organizing vice -presidential elections. ECI also said it began to create an election university for vice -presidential elections.
The election university will include members of both houses of Parliament – Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. All elected and nominated MPs are eligible to vote in the vice -presidential elections.

Vice Presidential Elections: Explained Game Number

In Lok Sabha, the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) has the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Support of 293 members. In Rajya Sabha, NDA fits comfortably with the support of 129 members according to the PTI press agency.

Congress has 99 members in Lok Sabha and 27 in Rajya Sabha. With the support of the Indian block, the opposition number increases to more than 350 – if some of them do not overcome or delay the vote. The AAM AADMI (AAP) party recently left the Indian block.
The ruling NDA has a comfortable advantage in the vice presidential race.
