As part of the ongoing Special Intensive Review (SIR) of electoral rolls, Election Commission of India (EC) officials will visit Tamil Nadu between November 24 and 26 to review overall SIR activities across the state.
P. Pawan, Deputy Director, and Devansh Tiwari of Media Division, EC, will visit Chennai between November 24 and 26 to review media coordination and voter activities under SIR Phase-II, Chief Electoral Officer Archana Patnaik said in an official statement.
Krishna Kumar Tiwari, Director, EC, will visit Coimbatore and Tiruppur districts to review the progress of SIR, particularly the distribution of enumeration forms and its digitization by BLOs at the district level, it said. Madhusudan Gupta, EC Secretary, will visit Chennai and Chengalpattu districts for assessment, Ms. Patnaik added.
