Eight persons from Karnataka were killed and 12 others injured when a Bolero carrying devotees collided with a ready-mixed concrete vehicle near Chilakaladona village in Yemmiganur mandal on Thursday (April 16, 2026).
Nearly 20 persons from Chikkamagalur, Karnataka were on their way to Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, Mantralayam when their vehicle collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction. The dead include six women, including girls, police said. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals.
