Eight persons, including three school children, died after the vehicle they traveled fell into a deep ravine in the Pitchgarhrh district in Uttarakhand on Tuesday (July 15, 2025) in the evening.
According to the police, the teams of the state forces were for reaction to disasters (SDRF), medical staff and police immediately rushed to a place near the village of Bhandari. Prima facie, the vehicle seemed to have lost control when negotiating the rotation. The local villagers also helped in a rescue operation, which lasted almost two hours.
Among the deceased was the driver, Narendra Singh, said PitchAgarh Superintendent Police Rekha Yadav. Three children who lost their lives were identified as Simran Singh, 7 and sisters Vineet, 17, and Danuja.
Other victims that we reduced like Shanti Devi, 45, Rajendra Singh, 60, Hoshiyar Singh, 65, and Deeksha, 25.
Those who were injured in the incident were hurried to the Pitchgarh District Hospital for treatment.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who ended death, announced in an accident of the late deceased.

Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also expressed his condolences over the incident.
“Extremely sad news of the vehicle accident in the Muwani area in the Pitchhagarh district has been received. I pray to God to find a place at his divine legs and that God gives the power of mourning families,” Dhami said in a post on the X -Social Media platform.
He added that the district administration was given instructions to ensure proper medical care for the injured.
