Education is the primary measure for development: Revanth Reddy on X

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday said the state’s improved performance in the school education sector reflected the government’s sustained efforts in the last two years.

Referring to the latest Performance Classification Index (PGI), an evidence-based assessment tool developed by the Ministry of Education to assess the performance of the school education system, released by the Union Ministry of Education, he said the report vindicates the reforms introduced by the state government.

In a post on his X account, Mr Reddy said he personally took charge of the education department and oversaw initiatives such as the proposed Telangana model schools, teacher recruitment, expansion of digital education, free electricity for government schools, infrastructure development and measures to reduce school dropout rates.

He said the government is committed to rebuilding and strengthening the education system and aims to make Telangana a national leader in education, and he said the proposed Integrated Schools for Young India will play a key role in achieving this goal. According to him, the PGI results are an encouragement for further reforms.
