Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in Lucknow on Friday (Nov 21, 2025) that education is the most important of all global priorities and asked citizens to never lose sight of the real issues facing the world.
CM Adityanath, speaking at the opening ceremony of the 26th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World (ICCJW) organized by City Montessori School in Lucknow, added that Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – the belief that “the whole world is one family” – has been the foundation of Indian philosophy for thousands of years.
“The spirit behind the World Conference reflects the age-old tradition of unity, justice and global responsibility. India has always played a role in offering support, protection and progress to the world in times of crisis. We must work to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals in key areas including education, health, agriculture, water resources, employment and skill development, environment and forest conservation,” said CM Adityanath.
The state president identified education as the most important goal and priority of citizens.
“Of all the 16 goals, education remains the most important. The world must not ignore its major challenges. On deeper reflection, we realize that the breakdown of dialogue is at the heart of many global problems. Dialogue has often been suppressed to maintain personal or political dominance. This conference is a platform for meaningful dialogue and will act as a powerful message to humanity, especially those who have tried to create chaos for power,” the CM said.
CM Adityanath has issued a warning that a world wracked by conflict and instability may see attempts to undermine sovereignty, with talks on education, health and sustainable development often losing ground.
“Under such circumstances, efforts must be made at every level to address these pressing issues. If one institution continues this initiative for 25 years, then similar efforts should be encouraged worldwide,” he said.
The UP CM hailed India’s ancient past and added that ancient worldviews offer valuable guidance for the present. “Based on the five elements of nature, earth, water, fire, air and space, our traditional system teaches respect, conservation and balance. In Indian culture, protection of these elements has always been a priority,” said CM Adityanath.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including CMS founding director Dr. Bharti Gandhi, president of the city Montessori school Dr. Roger Kingdon and chief justices of various countries.
