Directorate for recovery (ED) allegedly packed its search operations with domestic Minister G. Parameshware, who is the family academy of Sri Siddhartha for university education, Tumacuru, in connection with the case of gold smuggling allegedly involving actor Ranya Rao.
Ed is likely to summon Dr. Parameshware to appear soon in front of the questioning agency in the case of several sources. ED is also likely to take links to Ranya Rao, currently in judicial custody of the registered headquarters for news (DRI), which allegedly captured it smuggling 14.2 kg of gold at the International Airport in Kemegowda.
Ed said on Wednesday that they looked at a transaction in which educational trust “diverted the funds and made 40 lakh to the ranya Rao account from the credit card, reportedly to the instructions of influential persons”. Ed said there were no support vouchers or documentation that would prove this payment.
Although Dr. Parameshware refused to comment on Ranya Rao’s link to raids in his institutions, the President of the Karnataka Pradesh DK Shivakumar Congress Committee said that the Minister of the House told him “it was a gift during her wedding”. Mr. Shivakumar told Mediaperon on Thursday: “When there is a marriage in the family who worked with him, it seems to have helped them give them a gift. There’s nothing wrong with that.” Ranya Rao, step daughter of the CEO K. Ramacandra Rao, married in November 2024.
“Ed raids on Parameshware Fallout of Congress Fractionism”
The two ministers of the Union, Pralhad Joshi of Bharatiya Janata Party and HD Kumaraswamy of Janata gave (secular), hit the congress for Ed Raid as “political Vendetta”, claimed that it was a fall in internal fractionism in Congress.
On Thursday, Mr. Joshi spoke with reporters in Gadag and claimed that the fraction in Congress provided all information about Dr. Parameshware ED, which led to the raid. “The fraction in Congress was written by ED and the agency acted only by law. The main Minister Siddaramaiah, who controls state news, knows who wrote ED in his own side,” he said.
Mr. Kumaraswamy, who spoke to reporters in Nový Delhi on Friday, said “The case of gold smuggling is used as a tool to damage Dr. Parameshware and derails his leadership by a person to seek Siddaramaiah as the main minister.
He claimed that the real motive was the secondary leadership of the Dalits and the promotion of the competitor to the place of the main minister. He said that the recent political activity of Dr. Parameshware, including the efforts to organize the Dalitian Convention and involvement in the National leadership of the party, could cause this resistance.
